Meeting started: Friday, June 6, 2008 at 19:30.  Meeting held at Logan City Baptist Church.

1. Last Minutes read and agreed to. Moved Tui, Seconded Mal, Carried.

2. Orders of Business.

2.1 Resolution of outcome of meeting with church leadership.

Motion moved to agree to the following imposed rules from the leadership of the Logan City Baptist Church:

1. Clear out permanent items from the Sunday School rooms as soon as possible.
   (This includes selling off fridges etc.)

2. Acquire a shed or another structure to house trolleys and other such items.
   (Possibly by donation)

3. Pay the church the sum of forty dollars ($40) each week for rent.

4. Consider the signing of any documents relating to church oversight under the condition that they have an acceptable exit clause (such as "While it is the will of Logan City Hands of Compassion inc to maintain the status of a 'ministry of the church'" or similar).

5. The sale of drinks to support LCHOC is to be done only during official LCHOC events (Friday nights etc).

2.2 Gas bottle filling.

Don Jamiesson has given notice of his intention to stop refilling the LPG gas for the barbecue etc.  Although this is a management issue and does not require an executive board decision, Tui and Ian have volunteered for this role and move this as a motion.  Moved Tui, Seconded Ben, Carried.

2.3 Resignations.

Mark Redman and Elizabeth Berry have resigned from their respective positions of President and Secretary.  This resignation was without notice and given after a meeting with the leadership of the Logan City Baptist Church leadership that focussed, amongst other things, on 'unity'.  

2.4 Change of Signatories.

Motion moved to change signatories on bank accounts by removing Elizabeth Berry and adding Lisa Holmes and Fa Magele as signatories.  Moved Mal Holmes, Seconded Tui Magele, Carried.

2.5 Role Changes

Motion moved for Ben Holmes to move into the roles of secretary and president on a temporary basis with the understanding that somebody will be sought to fill the roles on a permanent basis.  Moved Mal. Holmes, Seconded Ben. Holmes, Carried.

2.6 Recognition of Work

Motion moved to ask the church to recognise the excellent volunteer work done by Fa Magele.  Moved Mal Holmes, Seconded Ben Holmes, Carried.

2.7 Formal support of Youth Group

Motion moved to formally recognise the Logan City Baptist Church Youth Group as a body that currently does work within the mandate of the Logan City Hands of Compassion that may support people on our behalf.  Logan City Hands of Compassion Inc. will duly and appropriately support Logan City Baptist Church Youth Group in these efforts as part of its ongoing work.  Because this is based on the ongoing work, the level of support is a day-to-day as needed support and will be handled by the LCHOC Manager as required.

2.8 Members meeting

Motion moved that the Annual General Members Meeting is to be called by Ben Holmes for the 27th June and nominations are to be called for up to 7 executive committee members (including possible re-election of current members).  Nominations are now open and nominations will be taken at the meeting.  Moved Ben Holmes, Seconded Tui, Carried.

Next meeting will be the Annual General members Meeting, Friday 27th June at 19:30.  Next executive committee meeting to be advised..meeting Finished at 20:00.
