Logan City Hands of Compassion Inc. recently won a grant from the Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund. The grant was to provide two coldrooms, one fridge and one freezer. These coldrooms are now operational and are ready to be used! These coldrooms are going to be a big help in providing for and lifting the burden from the people in our community who are doing it tough. It has been a big job getting these coldrooms set up and working and we would like to specifically thank the Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund for thel funding, Logan City Baptist Church for letting us use their land and subsidising the electricity and Just Do It Electrical for doing a lot of unpaid work. The coldrooms were officially opened by the State Member for Woodridge, Desley Scott and the Local Council Member for Division 9, Phil Pidgeon.
